Is Your AI Prototype Ready for Real Users?

Twelve questions on ownership, reliability, user data and running costs. About three minutes, no sign-up. You get a list of the gaps to close before strangers use your product.

    Ask About Your Prototype

    Ownership

    1. 1.The code repository sits in an account your company owns, not the freelancer's or the agency's.

    2. 2.The cloud account, domain and production database are in your company's name and on your company's card.

    3. 3.The API keys for the AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic and so on) belong to your company's account.

    4. 4.Your prompts, test data and any fine-tuned models are stored somewhere you control, with their history.

    Reliability

    1. 5.You know what the product does when the AI model is slow, wrong or unavailable.

    2. 6.There is a set of test questions you run before each change, to check the AI's answers did not get worse.

    3. 7.Someone other than the person who built it could deploy a fix tomorrow.

    Users and data

    1. 8.You know which user data is sent to AI providers, and your privacy policy says so.

    2. 9.A user cannot see another user's data, even by changing a URL or asking the assistant for it.

    3. 10.Anything the AI does on a user's behalf (sending, deleting, paying) asks for confirmation first.

    Running costs and operations

    1. 11.You can see the AI cost per user or per request, and you would notice a spike within a day.

    2. 12.You get an alert when the product is down or errors spike, before a user tells you.

    Questions

    Do you collect my answers?

No. The check runs in your browser and nothing you click is sent to us. We only record that someone finished it and which result band they got, with no answers attached.

Is this a replacement for a review?

No. It tells you what you know and what you do not. The Production Readiness Review looks at the actual code, cloud account and contracts, and gives you a written report with costs and a first milestone.
