Your AI MVP, Built or Finished by Engineers Who Read Every Line

For founders who do not write code. Whether you have an idea, a prototype made with AI tools, or a live product nobody on your team can safely change, the first step is the same: a free 30-minute first look, then a fixed-price week that puts what you have and what it will cost in writing.

Three Steps, Each One Optional After the Last

You can stop after any of them and keep everything produced so far.

    Step 1

    First look

    Free, 30 minutes

You show us what you have, or describe what you want to build. We tell you which of the two paid weeks fits, or that neither does yet, and what we would do in your place. No slides.

    Step 2

    Review or scoping week

    $4,500 fixed, one week

With a prototype: the Production Readiness Review. Without one: the scoping week, which ends in a written build specification with architecture, cost and a milestone plan. Either way you get a document you can hand to anyone, including another supplier. If you build with us within 90 days, the full fee comes off the price.

    Step 3

    The build

    From $25,000, in milestones

Senior engineers with ten or more years of experience, who use AI tooling and read every line it produces. Weekly demos of working software. Everything in your repositories, your cloud accounts and your name from day one. When you need someone to stay, the same engineer stays on as your technical lead.

    What the Review Contains

Whether You Own Your Own Software

Founders assume a contract saying they own the code settles the question. Then the repository turns out to sit in someone else's organisation, the servers run on someone else's cloud account, and the API keys are registered to an email address they do not control. For an AI product the list is longer, because the prompts, the evaluation data and the fine-tuned models are assets too, and standard contracts miss them entirely.

Every build we do starts with these twelve items in your name. Every review checks them on what already exists. It is the least glamorous section of the report and the one most often forwarded to a lawyer.

    The twelve ownership items

    • Code repository and its organisation
    • Cloud account and billing
    • Domain and DNS
    • API keys and the email they are registered to
    • App store and payment processor accounts
    • Third-party services (auth, email, analytics)
    • Prompts and their version history
    • Evaluation sets and test data
    • Fine-tuned models and their training data
    • Vector store and its contents
    • Deployment pipeline and secrets
    • Documentation of how it all fits together

Founders We Have Done This For

One engagement for each of the three starting points. Described without names, by agreement with each client.

No code yet to live product

A strategy consultant to large enterprises whose previous attempt at a product had been built on a platform they did not own, and could not take with them. We specified the first version, built it as their own product on their own accounts, and shipped in milestones they could stop between.

Prototype to a standing technical lead

A founder with a document-processing product and no engineer on the team. The first engagement was a fixed sprint on the pipeline. It became a monthly technical leadership seat, with hiring, architecture and investor conversations handled alongside the founder.

    Inherited prototype to production

A founder reselling a voice and retrieval product built by a previous freelancer. We started by reading what existed, kept what was sound, replaced what was not, and delivered the rest in escrow-backed milestones with a written definition of done for each.

    Questions Founders Ask

The long version of how to run this kind of engagement is public: how to hire an AI development partner when you are not an engineer.
